Oct. 28, 2004 - It is good to be from Boston

So Sunday was the best day ever. (besides tonight but we will get to that later)

We went to Boston to go see Metallica at the Fleet Center (we had 12 rows from the stage!!!) so we decided to head up to Bean Town early and take the T over to Fenway. I wanted one thing, well actually two things. I wanted a picture of this...

and to get my green St. Patrick's Day Spring Training hat. I got both of the things I set out to get and it was a great day to be in Boston. Patriots beat the Jets, Sox had won game 1 and were playing game two...and Metallica was playing. What a great day. When I didn't think it could get any better, we went and won the World Series in a sweep!!! Holy Fucking Shit.

If you are not a Red Sox fan, I don't know if you know the actual scope of this and what it means. I cried, I screamed, I jumped up and down and still two hours after we won, I don't know if I believe it or not.

Funny story (think I wrote about it last year) but my three cousins have always wanted a puppy and my uncle always told them, "yea you kids will get a dog when the Red Sox win the World Series", so for about 10 years now these kids kept holding their breath waiting and being let down and heart broken....well guess who had to buy a dog? Ha ha ha. I was so happy when we made that final out. I jumped up and down crying and yelling, "Kelly gets a dog! Kelly gets a dog!!!"

Things have been good here. I love my job. I have fun and that is a good thing. Some days are crazy and some of the people we see are crazy (I work for a therapy practice) but it makes for interesting stories. (not that I tell any stories about work, (HIPPA regulations) but if I were to tell stories they would be funny... Hee Hee.) Oh, hey thanks to the concerned person who emailed me about me working as a house keeper for a casino? Um, sorry. I hate to say it, but no. Mollie did not see me waiting in line at the casino in a house keepers uniform. And I feel bad that she still thinks things about me. She really should let it go, it was over two years ago.

We have a party on Saturday night, we have a party on Sunday night and we are having dinner parties all next week. I love owning my house and I love sharing with people that I love.

I want to leave you with this most adorable picture of my puppy; who is the love of my life. We took this picture in the park on our walk last Thursday.

P.S. I always knew they would do it. I never stopped believing. And Tracy, We ARE the Red Sox, don't you forget it.
